Exploring BRAILLE

Hey, this painting is the start of a new exploration for me. I've always been fascinated with different ways of communication. I also like painting my portraits with their eyes closed. To me when the eyes are closed it speaks peace and serenity, locking away all the negative, all the things in this world that we just a temporary break from. But what about those people whose eyes are permanently closed. This one is for you!

This painting contains The Lord's Prayer in Braille. Enjoy!

  1. Hello, I am an art teacher at a Catholic school and I'm planning similar projects for my 2nd and 5th grade students. I was wondering what you used to make the Braille. I am currently thinking about having them use glue, or puffy paint.
